Journal of Acupuncture Research, The Journal of Acupuncture Research (JAR), founded in 1983, is the official international journal of the Korean Acupuncture & Moxibustion Medicine Society. Manuscripts undergo stringent peer review; those accepted for publication are published open access. JAR is published quarterly in February, May, August, and November. The journal, by providing a platform for dissemination and discussion, aims to strengthen the scientific understanding of the safety and effectiveness (efficacy) of acupuncture.
